My friend and I stumbled upon this place one late weeknight so everything was closing early. They were going to close in an hour so we had that amount of time to order, wait and eat. I personally eat pretty slowly since I eat a lot so I was kind of nervous, but considering that we were the only customers there along with a couple of others, service was prompt.

As for their food options, it's ok. Not a lot of vegetarian or vegan options, had to opt for something with eggs in it despite usually following a vegan diet since I was REALLY hungry. My friend and I walked the entire plaza and we just settled for this place. No regrets though since the food we got was pretty decent and I appreciate their service. I know if customers came in near closing time I might get a bit irritated since it was kind of late. But since they gave us our food in time we were able to grub on it before they needed to close! Price for the food was pretty good too, I don't think we exceeded too much over $20.

My only complaints is the amount of veggie options they had but other than that, pretty decent service and food was good!

I came here for dinner on a Monday and had a terrible experience. We ordered the pan fried beef dumplings, hand made noodles, steamed shrimp and pork dumplings, and green onion pancakes. The noodles and pan fried dumplings were completely drenched with oil. I think the chef at this place changed recently because I don't remember the food tasting this bad when I came here a year ago. It's now been 30 min since I finished the meal and I actually still feel sick from all the oil and grease.

On a positive note, the staff were nice and service was quick. The steamed dumplings was okay.

    Location: 4/5

SE corner of the Sky Village plaza north of Finch Ave E on Midland Ave. Plenty of parking in the heart of Scarborough, where there are plenty of Asian restaurants to choose from.

    Decor: 3.5/5

Comfy, pretty clean and basic decor. The higher ceiling helps diffuse the smokey BBQ smell.

    Food: 3/5

The food here tastes ok, but I would not say that their dumplings are anything special. No, xiao long bao that I noticed unless it was not clearly labelled.

My favourite was their fresh shrimps that happened to be their special of the day, 12 for $13.99 is a decent price.

Their shredded tofu was drenched in chilli oil and actual chilies for added flavour and spice.

The beef wrap was a bit lean and not that oily compared to others I have seen before.

However, I was pretty disappointed with my mackerel dumplings... I ordered it, because I do not eat meat and have not for 4-5 years, but from the first bite I took I kept thinking that it tasted and felt like chicken or pork, so I could not properly enjoy them... I was expecting a fishier taste and texture.

    Service: 2/5

Rushed service. Most of the staff seem to speak only Cantonese or Mandarin. Does not seem to be a friendly place for anyone else to be honest. As my friends and I were splitting our bill, a Caucasian man wanted to order takeout, so he asked how many pieces did the dumplings come in. Frankly, the customer should simply just read the menu since it was clearly labeled as orders of 12... so the cashier merely pointed at the menu where the number was, but the customer did not understand and the cashier did not seem to know how to interact with him in any English..., so I translated and told him that every order of dumplings came in 12 here.

    Value: 3.5/5

The pricing here is around $8 minimum. My friend and I ordered 5 items and it came to $30 after tax and 10% tips. Their service to us was adequate so I gave them the bare minimum.

The sizes of their dumplings are fair. We did not need to order anymore food, so that was good; just a basket each was enough.

At least we were both very full after the dinner.

    Overall: 3/5

Met basic expectations and the food was decent. Good to try at least once.

Perfect spot for a late night meal. We usually get their dumplings and Beef Noodle Soup. The Beef Noodle Soup is huge and is more than enough for two. Their appetizers are quite delicious as well. Our favourite is the cucumber with garlic.

    P.S it's 15% off your bill excluding dumplings Mon-Thurs

This is probably the worst dumpling house I've gone to. There is no taste in its dishes. I ordered the steam celery and pork dumplings, spicy fish pot and shredded potato stirred fried.

There is nothing special to mention about it's food aside from bland.

    They have daily special

Before 5:00 PM from Monday-Thursday: get 1 free dumpling order when ordered 2 dumpling orders

I don't recommend this restaurant and probably will not go back.
